A very special thank you to Producer, Patron, and close friend
Robert L. Lowrey III for his investments in the arts, shows, Pop Ups, artist’s materials, and all that a good Patron of the Arts was historically known to do. I am forever grateful for your patience, guidance, and understanding to keep the Arts alive in this amazing Country I call home, The United States. And especially the Jersey Shore. What would we do without you? A humble thank you Mr. Lowrey, from all my heart.
To
Liz Tracy for being an incredible collector of local art and being a key cog that keeps the local artworld moving forward. A patron of the arts, and one Hell of a business woman! You run an enterprize and still have time to deal with all of the unique local artists from the Tri-State Area, giving us the stage for all the wonderful creative artists to do what they’re born to do. You have the faith that keeps the fuel in the artist’s engine. You are, truly, the best beach-find down the shore!
*A special thank you to the incredibly talented illustrator/artist/cousin,
Gretchen Schields, for your powerful inspiration throughout my life & career. I will always treasure our conversations regarding travel, mediums, art, and what the Greenwich Village was
really like in the 70’s. Close friend to Amy Tan, her illustrator & collaborator. You were the biggest inspiration in my early years and continue to be my mentor in the artworld. Your grace is my goal, even if I became just another old broad with more talent than brains, I love you.
*
Gretchen Schields had passed during the second art pop up and her last message to me was, “Go baby!” and she left this mortal coil with great dignity & many friends, family, colleagues who sadly miss her too. I will always keep her close in my heart forever.
